Built for UK sole traders and freelancers

Docket keeps your receipts tidy before tax time gets loud.

Scan receipts, review the details before they are saved, and keep a running record across the UK tax year from 6 April to 5 April. Docket is designed to stay simple, local-first, and useful on day one.

On-device OCR with editable review Local-first records with optional iCloud sync CSV and PDF exports for year-end handoff
What Docket does

Built for one-person businesses, not finance teams.

Docket focuses on the small set of jobs that matter most: capture the receipt, check the details, keep the record, and export cleanly when you need to hand things over.

Receipt capture that stays editable

OCR runs on device and the result is always reviewable before anything is saved, so uncertain scans never become a dead end.

  • Scan with the camera when you choose
  • Import a photo you already have
  • Correct merchant, total, VAT, or category before save
Organised around the UK tax year

Docket follows the active tax year from 6 April to 5 April, which makes your running totals and export windows feel more useful than a calendar-first tool.

  • Track expenses and mileage in one place
  • See a clear current-year view
  • Keep records ready for year-end handoff
Local-first by default

The app is designed to work without a custom backend. Paid plans may unlock optional iCloud sync and clean exports, while the free plan remains genuinely useful.

  • Local records remain available on device
  • Optional Apple-native sync for paid tiers
  • No sign-up required for the core workflow
Privacy and trust

Record keeping, without pretending to be an accounting platform.

Docket is a record-keeping tool for UK sole traders and freelancers. It stores expense records, mileage records, receipt images, and OCR results so you can keep organised records for tax time. It is not tax advice.

The app uses the camera only when you ask to scan a receipt, uses the photo library only when you choose to import an image, and keeps the core dataset on device first. If you upgrade to a paid plan, iCloud sync can be offered through Apple-native services rather than a custom Docket backend.
